GRADUATE TRACER ANALYSIS ON DIPLOMA PROGRAM AND ITS IMPLICATION TO MIDWIFERY EDUCATION AND PRACTICE.

   Tracing students who complete their training in Diploma in Midwifery program offered by the College of Midwifery has been one of the most foremost and notable accountabilities of the University and its department. This analysis was aimed at searching and investigating the graduates of the Diploma in Midwifery Program, AY 2014-2016, UPH-Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Medical University.


   Data  were generated through the four itemized questionnaires pertaining to: personal information; reason for taking the diploma program, employment data, and the employment status. Results revealed that 26 females were enrolled n the midwifery program. Out of 28 graduates, 18 responded to the survey, 11 of which were employed. When asked why they enrolled in the diploma program,8% responded that they can be employed immediately, they were influenced by their parents and they e passion for the profession, 17% claimed that they were lured by the attractive compensation of the profession while 11% thought that the program will help them advance career wise. Eleven of the respondents re employed through someone's recommendation and work on a regular basis, which receive monthly gross earning of 


   he Midwifery graduates meet the demands of the targeted workplace. These demands indicate graduates have sufficient knowledge and adequate training in midwifery. Being employed is a criterion in curricular product evaluation that determines how well the graduates have achieved the goal of the diploma midwifery program.
