Objectives

This needs Assessment study evaluated how the 1st and 2nd year students of four (4) college programs of UPH-DJGTMU expressed themselves in terms of their perceived needs. Among the 1st year students, dentistry students prioritize on social needs, nursing students on physical needs, pharmacy students on sexual needs and radiologic technology students on academic needs. Among the 2nd year students, dentistry students prioritize on physical needs, nursing and phramacy students on career needs, and radiologic technology students on psychological-emotional needs. The 1st and 2nd year dentistry students indicated higher perceived needs overall than the other group of students. The assessment of perceived needs indicated vast diversities among the students across each college program. The area of perceived needs of students from each college program changed when the 1st year students became 2nd year students.
