A fresh look at family planning communication.

Stresses the need to systematize information, education and communication (IEC) efforts in the Population Program. Highlights the findings and recommendations of a Population Center Foundation study answering this need. The project reviewed existing IEC materials used by population agencies and these agencies written accounts in conceptualizing and communicating family planning messages, and surveyed different agencies to find out which family planning concepts figured in their IEC materials, which were the priority messages, and which were most frequently communicated
