With the continuing challenge on the adherence on the practice of exclusive breastfeeding among mothers, the Philippines had been fully implementing the promotion and initiation of breastfeeding through its Milk Code (UNICEF). However, despite the efforts, only half of all the infants were exclusively breastfed (WHO). Identification of the current state and the factors associated with level of knowledge, attitudes and practice towards exclusive breastfeeding may help healthcare practitioners formulate effective programs in order to increase its incidence among communities. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices of pregnant women on exclusive breastfeeding in the different barangays covered by San Sebastian Health Center in January to February 2018. An analytic cross-sectional design was used for this study and validated questionnaire was used to interview pregnant women from January 1 to 27, 2018. Data on socio-demographics, level of knowledge, attitudes and practices were obtained from respondents. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS for Windows version 24.0. The data was summarized by descriptive statistics using the frequency, percentage and tables for categorical variables. Regression analysis was used to evaluate relationship between different selected variables. The critical values for significance were set at P
