IDENTIFYING THE TYPE OF LEARNERS CONGRUENT TO TEACHING STRATEGIES OF THE RADIOLOGIC PROFESSORS.

Abstract

  Congruence between teaching strategies and student's learning styles as a measure of academic excellence in the College of Radiologic Technology was determined. A questionnaire was used determine learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) he students and the teaching technique (lecture, demonstration, collaboration) employed by the faculty members. Results show that 59% of the students are visual learners and 33% of the faculty members use lecture method as a s strategy. Verbal direction, visual presentation, group discussion and activities are the most frequently employed class activities. Students and teachers alike,know the best strategies that fit in the different learning and teaching style and activities to facilitate learning.
