To present a rare case of panniculitis and polyarthritis in a patient with pancreatic tumor, and to discuss it's diagnosis and management.
Panniculitis is a very rare manisfestation of a pancreatic disease. This was first illustrated by Mullin, who reported 1 case of 893 patients. More unusual is when polyarthritis occurs with panniculitis in patients with pancreatric disease. Literature showed <5 cases of this association. No scientifically-proven relationship of these symptoms exist but some studies suggest that elevated enzymes from the diseased pancreas, acting with trypsin, account for the rash and arthritis.
