Key monitoring indicators of nutrient intake levels in the Filipino diet.

 Villavieja GM

The study made use of the Nationwide Nutrition Survey data collected by FNRI (Food and Nutrition Research Institute, Metro Manila Philippines) in 1982. Review of statistical model and summarization of initial regression results generated by income quartile and level of food expenditure were undertaken. The study can be most useful in conducting surveys where there are limited resources for gathering comprehensive information on dietary situation and also in frequent monitoring of nutrient intake of the Philippine population as an indicator of the nutritional situation.(Author)
