Orthopaedic problems in the neonate.

 Gomez VR

In summary, neonatal examination is the KEY to early diagnosis and subsequent treatment of musculoskeletal problems. There is a need for high index of suspicion. We should remember that 50% of all syndromes or congenital anomalies have an associated orthopedic presentation. The earlier the treatment is started, the better to get best results in the shortest time. Ask the orthopedist to make a NURSERY evaluation.(Summary)
