Given the dearth of data on migration of Muslims in the Philippines, this study was conducted among a larger group of Muslim migrants to be able to make some reliable generalizations about this phenomenon. A total of 529 respondents were interviewed for this study which had the following specific objectives: 1) to determine the patterns, streams and distribution of Muslim migrants in Luzon and the Visayas; 2) find out the reasons for the migration of Muslims to these areas; 3) find out the patterns of inter-ethnic relationships and adjustments that Muslim migrants have adopted; 4) determine the problems that they encountered in their chosen places of migration and the coping mechanisms they have adopted; 5) assess some of the social profile of the Muslim migrants; and 6) know the attitude of the Christian neighbors of the Muslim migrants toward the latter.
