Objectives

General Objective:
To determine the profile of patients with urinary tract infection admitted at MCU-FDTMF hospital from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2003.
Specific Objective:
1.To determine the most common presenting chief complaint of admitted at MCU-FDTMF hospital due to UTI.
2.To determine the classification of UTI of admitted patient as to: a.uncomplicated UTI b.complicated UTI c.recurrent UTI d.asymptomatic bacteriuria.
3.To determine the distribution of subjects according to the different risk factors classified into obstruction,foreign bodies,metabolic,functional and miscellaneous.
4.To determine the different important diagnostic procedures and tests requested for these patients.
5.To determine the common pathogens causing urinary tract infection.
6.To determine the antibiotic usually given to these patients for UTI.
